Inequalities on $\mathbb{S}^n$ :

Hypercontractive estimates
$\|P_rf\|_{L^q(\mathbb{S}^n)}\leq \|f\|_{L^p(\mathbb{S}^n)}$
holds, if and only if $|r|\leq [(p-1)/(q-1)]^{1/2}$ , where $P_rf$ is the Poisson kernel.
Stronger Logarithimic Sobolev inequality:
$\int_{\mathcal{S}^n} |f|^2\ln |f| d\xi \leq \sum_{k=1}^\infty \Delta_n(k)\int_{\mathcal{S}^n} |Y_k(\xi)|^2 d\xi$
