Digital Image Measurement of Velocity Field of Powder Fluid in Laser Manufacturing

摘 要
The digital image processing method based on Digital Particle Image Velocimetry technique was developed to measure the velocity field of gas-powder two-phase flow in laser manufacturing. The powder flow image measurement process is composed of image collecting, image saving, velocity vector field and flow line group construction. Two adjacent instantaneous images of the same powder flow were collected by CCD camera. Based on interrelated algorithm, the displacement vector field and the velocity vector field were calculated. The data of the whole velocity field were fitted to construct a group of flow line. Under the same process parameters as measurement, the velocity distribution was simulated by FLUENT software, and the simulated result was compared to the measured result. Results show that, the measurement method could be used to obtain the velocity distribution of powder flow field in laser coaxial cladding online and further design the nozzle size. -
